A training programme for the Kaushal Mitra (Skill Teachers) of Rajasthan State and Teachers of minority institutions on the various aspects of student support system was organised from 9^th to 13^th January, 2023 at PSSCIVE, Bhopal. Forty-five teachers from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chandigarh and Rajasthan states attended the programme. Dr. V.K. Jain, programme coordinator welcomed the participants and briefed them about the background and objectives of the programme. Dr. Deepak Paliwal, Joint Director, PSSCIVE highlighted the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in his inaugural address. During the five-day programme, the faculty of PSSCIVE took sessions on various topics, like status of student support system under Samagra Shiksha, implementation of pre-vocational education from Grades 6 to 8, guidelines for conducting On-the-job training, employability skills, importance of guidance and counselling, role of emotional intelligence for student support, organisation of job fair and skill competitions, placement of students, etc.
